Welcome

Giving to Earley St Peter’s

The work of Earley St Peter’s with people of all ages, our outreach in the community, and our pattern of worship and prayer  is made possible by many gifts of time and service.  But the work of our church also requires our financial contributions.  We receive no regular funding from the government or the national church, and rely largely on your generosity to meet our running costs and outreach.

We have taken steps to reduce costs where possible.  Nonetheless, we still have substantial financial commitments – including staff and buildings costs and the payment of parish share (which is our contribution to the diocese for the costs of having a full-time priest) – as we provide worship, pastoral care, and service to the local community.

  1. You can give by the Parish Giving Scheme. This is a simple, secure way of giving which is run centrally (so we have no administrative work to do) but where the parish receives all the money donated.  The scheme will also invite you to consider your level of giving each year, and you can give anonymously or make your donation inflation-proofed if you wish.  You can set up a donation by calling 0333 002 1271, you will need your bank details and the Parish reference number 270627450. You can also contact Mary in the Parish Office if you would like a paper form or want to know more.
  2. You can make a one-off online donation to PCC ST PETERS EARLEY, Sort Code: 30-91-31, Account Number: 01825668. If you want us to be able to claim GiftAid, you will need to use your surname as a reference.
  3. You can donate by cheque (whether in an existing envelope scheme or just as a one-off), payable to Earley St Peter’s PCC, sent to the Parish Office, Church Road, Earley RG6 1EY. Please note we cannot handle cash donations at the moment.

If you have any questions on giving or the church’s finances please contact our Treasurer, Helen Price, on [email protected] or leave a phone message at the Parish Office number.  The Parish Office can also send you a GiftAid form if you would like to give under the scheme which allows us to claim back 25p from the Government for every pound you give.

We completely understand that many may not be able to give during these uncertain times; but thank you for anything you can do to keep the work of the parish sustainable.
